Spitfire Day

Spitfire Day...

...Is Saturday 5th March 2016. Why Spitfire Day? Well, 80 years ago on 5th March, the iconic Spitfire aircraft made its maiden flight. To mark the event the Defence of the Nation Museum and Education Centre, part of the Ramsgate Tunnels experience, is holding a day of celebration with various acts and performers including The Manston Band of No. 2433 Squadron.

The highlight of the day will be a 10 minute choreographed air display by The Spirit of Kent Spitfre from Biggin Hill. It is looking to be a truly special day. If you visit the event you will even have the chance to win a flight in a Spitfire!

Visit www.defenceofthenationeducationcentre.org/spitfireday for full details.

We look forward to seeing you there.
