The Air Training Corps 75th Anniversary...
...Kicked off in style in London on Sunday 7th February 2016 when the first national anniversary event was held at the Central Church of the Royal Air Force, St. Clement Danes, in the Strand in Central London.
Her Royal Higness The Duchess of Cambridge attended her first event as Honorary Air Commandant of the Air Cadet Organisation, accompanied by Air Commodore Dawn McCafferty RAFR, Commandant Air Cadets and Honorary Group Captain Carol Vorderman RAFVR(T), Ambassador for the Air Cadet Organisation.
Over 500 cadets and adult volunteers from across London and the South-East, including Kent, took part in the parade from Lincolns Inn Fields to the Strand, where they were joined by many supporters and friends in St. Clement Danes for a Service of Thanksgiving and Re-dedication.
The Banners of each Air Cadet Region accompanied the Air Training Corps Banner on parade.
After the service, a reception was held at the Royal Courts of Justice, attended by The Duchess of Cambridge, who cut the special anniversary cake.
Overall a very special day and a great start to the 75th Anniversary year!...
