Christmas Bag Pack

The Annual Christmas Fund Raising Bag Pack...

...Took place at Tesco Extra Broadstairs on Monday 21st December.

Cadets, staff and Civilian Committee members deployed to assist shoppers with the bag packing at the check-outs and to have the Squadron Band entertain them whilst shopping.

Groaning trollies moved through the tills but the shoppers continued to put their money in the buckets, for which we thank each and every one of them.

The band began by playing outside the store but the sudden arrival of winter in the form of high winds and driving rain forced a welcome retreat inside the store where the manager was happy for the band to play on the first floor balcony.

The result of this Christmas mayhem was a total of just under £1100, which is amazing.

Thanks go to everyone who donated, to the cadets for packing and playing and the staff and Civilian Committee for making it happen.
