Wing Field Day Success...
...Sunday 13th September saw Kent Wing cadets and staff visit Manston in large numbers to compete at the annual Wing Field Day Competition. The Wing, Squadron Banners and Officer Commanding Kent Wing are seen photographed on the parade ground at Manston.
Events ranging from shooting to aero-modelling and first aid to drill took place, with teams fighting hard to take home the silverware.
We are pleased to say that the Squadron Band came first in the Full Band Competition with Drum Major Corporal McDougall coming first in the Drum Major competition.
The Drill Team and Drill NCO Flight Sergeant Slaney-Hewitt did exceptionally well in the Drill Competition against fierce competition, coming runners-up.
The Banner Party with Sergeant Murphy as the banner bearer did very well against a number of teams, coming a very close third overall.
So well done to all of the cadets and staff who took part, helped or supported and to the Civilian Committee for their excellent catering enterprise.
