Aerospace Projects New Arrival

...The Squadron aerospace project took a great step forward today with the arrival of the cockpit section. A 1-1 scale replica of a Spitfire cockpit, it will be fitted with the hardware and software in order to make it an enviable training aid. Still under wraps, we look forward to enveiling her as soon as possible.

Although looking forward by using modern technology, the cockpit will be a recognition of the history of RAF Manston. It will be painted in the colours and markings of the Manston Spitfire which is housed in the Spitfire & Hurricane Memorial Museum only a few yards away. RAF Manston played a major part in the Battle of Britain which will be commemorated this year on the 75th anniversary of the battle.
